it's a heartworm, you'll always be

“But who can say what’s best? That’s why you need to grab whatever chance you have of happiness where you find it, and not worry about other people too much. My experience tells me that we get no more than two or three such chances in a lifetime, and if we let them go, we regret it for the rest of our lives.”
-Haruki Murakami, Norwegian Wood

Hey guys the quote above is from the book I'm currently reading. It's called Norwegian Wood. Celestine @setirbizarre.bs lent it to me.

It's so nice.

Oh by the way all these pictures are from last year I think. I just plucked them off facebook because I didn't get to take any pictures!

Today... I went to Daylight with my dad and brother for brunch, and then homed, I took a nap, and when I woke up I cleaned my room. Then my mother called me so I went to my aunt's place and interacted with the Chinese kids and then I brought them to Cold Storage to buy Tiger beer and Hoegaarden. My mom sent me to buy it. While at the counter, I was like damn, I just remembered the alcohol sale law thingy. I thought it was gonna be a wasted trip because I'm a young gurl and kids can't buy alcohol. But the cashier didn't even bat an eyelid. Ooookaaaay. Is it just seven eleven fags who are strict about this rule?

Anyway this 12 year old Chinese kid who went with me helped me to carry all the alcohol back. Child labour. Sorry mate.
He was funny though, telling me stories about monkeys and school and all. LOL

OH YEAH! How many of our childhood were not completed without... Kinder Surprise? No, none of that Kinder Joy bullshit. I'm talking bout KINDER SURPRISE bitches
Anyway yeah MY childhood was certainly very Kinder Surpriseful.
My maternal grandmother's brother used to buy them for me and my cousins on the occasions he visited. It wasn't often though, and that was the beauty of it - we always treasured those foil wrapped chocolate eggs with a surprise inside because we didn't get to eat them often.

When I think of Kinder Surprise, I think about jumping on my Grandmother's bed with all my cousins and shouting and playing Simon Says and building forts and all. I had a very enriching and pleasant childhood, thank you very much.

It disappeared off the shelves years ago, though, and only last year I realized through Zhiyi that you could find them from Cocoa Trees, but all the CT shops were too far to go as and when I liked.
But today... I discovered. Cold Storage has Kinder SURPRISE!!
*screams*
Even though I cannot appreciate the toys now, I am very happy to see it back on the shelves. It's like a salute to my childhood or something.

Welcome back.

Hahahahah LOL.

This week is gonna be a short school week, so cheers to that and Hallelujah! I could use a mini break. I'm looking forward to this week.
